For their October 6, 2018 performance at Harris Center, rock out to “Led Zeppelin II.” The album was released on October 22, 1969, by Atlantic Records. The band’s lead guitarist and songwriter Jimmy Page was primarily credited for its creation. It also served as Zeppelin’s first album to utilize recording techniques of the engineer Eddie Kramer. Incorporating several elements of blues and folk music, “Led Zeppelin’s II” exhibited the band’s evolving musical style of blues-derived material and their guitar riff-based sound. With songs like “ Whole Lotta Love,” “The Lemon Song,” and “Ramble On,” it has been described as the band’s heaviest album.
